Eirini Roumpi (Ruby) is a visual artist that was born in 1995 in Athens,Greece. Her art practice revolves around the overlap between visual and performative forms of art that tend to exchange elements with each other and even create new artistic hybrids. Some of the main ideas that concern her are the overlap between dance, theater and performance, “in-between” and the idea of “tautologies”. Her practice is conceptual and she creates artworks using photography, video, installation, printmaking and performance , while deriving inspiration and information from previous psychology studies, theatrical techniques and experimental films. The last few years she also works as an art curator, collaborating with galleries and art spaces and organizing exhibitions and festivals.
